PennDOT and the state departments of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Environmental Protection (DEP), and General Services (DGS) conducted a pilot project to pave part of a Ridley Creek State Park roadway with an asphalt and recycled plastic mixture. The pilot project was coordinated through PennDOT's Strategic Recycling Program.

On October 22, Governor Tom Wolf joined the PennDOT, federal, economic, elected, and Coatesville city officials to break ground on the new Coatesville train station.
The project is looking to revitalize the surrounding community with a modern accessible train station and improve connections to the Amtrak Keystone Corridor.
